Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], June 3 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Congress Chief Jitu Patwari expressed his pleasure over Leader of Opposition (LoP) Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Bhopal on Tuesday and said that the Congress MP is arriving to the city with the aim of starting a campaign of Sangathan Srijan (referring to recreation of organisation).
Patwari further said that it is an important day in the history of Indian politics, and it is a matter of good fortune for them that the Congress MP is visiting the capital city.
Speaking to ANI, Patwari said, “This is an important day in the history of Indian politics. We are fortunate that Madhya Pradesh got this opportunity. As the hero of the caste census, Rahul Gandhi raised a new voice in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP had to agree to his (Rahul Gandhi) point despite refusing. It is a matter of good fortune for us that the warrior of social justice, Rahul Gandhi, is visiting Bhopal today with the aim of starting the campaign of Sangathan Srijan, laying the foundation stone. To start the making of a new structure of the organisation, maintaining transparency from the village level to the ward level, to the bottom for the new thoughts in the Congress party. I believe that today is a very important day.”
The Congress leader also took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that they should welcome Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister Modi had accepted Rahul’s proposal to hold a caste census.
“PM Modi reluctantly agreed with Rahul Gandhi over the caste census and with a heavy heart. For this, the BJP should congratulate Rahul Gandhi that Narendra Modi has accepted the issue of Rahul Gandhi’s caste census. I say this to the BJP to welcome Rahul Gandhi because your Prime Minister listens to Rahul Gandhi,” Patwari added.
Meanwhile, MP minister Vishvas Sarang took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi on his visit to Bhopal saying that the Congress leader is on political tourism and it is just a hoax.
“The Nehru family has never created an organisation. They created their family and to glorify it, Congress has executed programs all the time, while being in the government or out of power. Rahul Gandhi carries out scripted programs throughout the year and does tourism (referring to visits) at different levels. Sometimes he goes out on a tour for meditation, sometimes he goes abroad. Now, he has embarked on political tourism, and it is just a hoax. With this, neither the government works nor the organisation works nor the party gets strong.”
The minister claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Bhopal will be a flop and the Congress party, which is divided into groups, will not work through it.
“We have seen that Congress has executed programs for the Nehru family all the time. His visit to Bhopal is going to be a flop. One can see all the history sheeter of Bhopal city with Rahul Gandhi in the poster and hoarding installed across the city today. Congress, which is divided into groups, will not work through hoaxes. Rahul Gandhi is out on political tourism.” Sarang added. (ANI)
