New Delhi [India], October 15 (ANI): Congress on Tuesday appointed Ghulam Ahmad Mir as its new CLP leader in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a communication to J-K party chief Tariq Hameed Karra, party general secretary KC Venugopal said that Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed GA Mir as the new Congress Legislature Party leader. The newly-elected party MLAs had authorised the party leadership to take the decision.
In a post on X, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, expressed his gratitude to the top leadership of the party.

The National-Conferenc-Congress alliance won the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections securing 48 seats. NC alone won 42 seats. Congress could win 6 seats.
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah is set to take oath as the new chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir on October 16.
Earlier, the president’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir was revoked, clearing the way for the formation of a new government in the Union Territory. (ANI)
