New Delhi [India], September 11 (ANI): A 3-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted while she was sleeping on a cot in front of her house in Delhi’s Jain Nagar under Begumpur police station limit, police said on Wednesday.
According to officials, the victim’s mother mentioned in her complaint that on September 9, her daughter was sleeping on a cot in front of her house. After some time, she noticed that her daughter was missing from the cot. She made a search of her daughter and found her in the bushes in the vicinity.
The 25-year-old accused was also present there, who ran away after seeing her.
Following which she lodged a complaint, and subsequently a case was registered at Begumpur police station. The girl child was also medically examined at BSA Hospital.
Later, the accused was arrested, and further investigation is underway. (ANI)
