Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 30 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary on Thursday announced to add 200 active members at each booth during the party’s membership drive starting September 1.
The drive will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath enrolling as members, followed by a district-level membership drive from September 3-5.
Chaudhary also outlined plans for selecting local members and completing the organizational process at various levels.
“We have set a target to make all the party workers who have been appointed by the central party in the states active members. We have also set a goal to create 200 active members at each booth,” the UP BJP chief said.
“On September 2, Honorable Prime Minister will take the membership as a member online, facilitated by the Honorable National President JP Nadda” he said.
He stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be enrolled as a member in the state following Narendra Modi’s membership.
“The next day, we will enrol the Honorable Chief Minister as a member, and from the 3rd to the 5th of September, a membership drive will be conducted in the districts. This campaign, along with the next phase, will run from October 1st to October 15th. After enrolling active members, we will move forward with the organizational process by selecting local members and completing it at the Mandal, district, state, and national levels” Bhupendra Chaudhary said.
Regarding upcoming by-elections in 10 assembly seats, Chaudhary stated that candidate selection will be led by CM Yogi Adityanath. He emphasised the importance of public outreach and establishing an organizational structure to support the election efforts.
He said ” The organizational structure has been established, and through extensive public outreach, a membership drive will be conducted. As soon as the Election Commission announces the dates, we will complete the candidate selection process and enter the election field under the leadership of Yogi Ji”.
Earlier, CM Yogi Adityanath attended a mega employment and loan fair in Kanpur, distributing appointment letters, and loans, and laying foundation stones for development projects.
He highlighted various state government schemes, assured jobs for the youth, and distributed loans to beneficiaries. The fair included a massive employment program for youths in collaboration with 50 companies and a loan mela for various beneficiaries.
During the speech, the CM highlighted the various schemes by the state government, gave job assurances to the people and distributed loans to various people at the fair. “To give wings to the dreams of the youth, in collaboration with 50 companies, a massive employment program for the youths has been arranged. We have also set up a loan mela to give to various beneficiaries.
“Under the Yuva Shashaktikarn Yojana, we have also given tablets and smartphones to the youth,” said the UP CM. (ANI)
