New Delhi [India], July 28 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai discussed major schemes of the state and shared feedback from the common people towards governance and political developments in the state at the BJP chief ministers’ conclave held at BJP headquarters on Sunday.
The conclave saw the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Highlighting the success of Chhattisgarh’s development schemes, Sai said that the state government has taken several initiatives for women, youth, tribals, farmers, and in the direction of eradicating naxalism. These initiatives have made Chhattisgarh a model state in effectively implementing the schemes and programmes of governance, he said.
Vishnu Deo Sai also made a special mention of the effectiveness of Chhattisgarh’s strategies. He said that the state has ensured the participation of local residents in rural and tribal areas, which has increased the success of the schemes and has also increased the confidence of local people in governance.
The schemes of Chhattisgarh received appreciation at the meeting and other BJP-ruled states were asked to emulate the strategies and techniques of Chhattisgarh. Sai said that the state government took various measures to increase the reach of its schemes to every village and household through various mediums, in which the publicity system played an important role.
He also said that many tough decisions were taken to make the functioning and schemes of the departments transparent, including decisions related to combating naxalism, corruption-free departmental functioning, coal transportation, the purchase of liquor and examinations conducted through PSC.
CM Sai gave information about the important Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the state, under which financial assistance is being provided to more than 70 lakh women of the state. Through this scheme, poor women are given assistance of Rs 12,000 per year, which fulfils their small needs.
Giving information about the Niyyad Nella Nar (Your Good Village) scheme running in Maoist-affected areas, he said that the objective of this scheme is to bring development and stability in Maoist-affected areas. Under this, five villages around the newly established camps have been linked to 53 welfare schemes of 17 departments of the state, due to which basic resources are being provided in these villages.
Sai also presented the progress report of central schemes in the meeting. He informed the meeting that Chhattisgarh has achieved the 100 per cent target under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which has improved health facilities in the rural and remote areas of the state.
He also gave information about the plantation of 1 crore 51 lakh saplings under the flagship programme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’. Apart from this, he also presented the progress reports of PM Vishwakarma, PM Swanidhi, Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojana, PM Suryaghar Yojana, Amrit Sarovar, Arogya and employment fairs. (ANI)
