Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], June 10 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma lauded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government on the occasion of its 11th anniversary. Holding a press conference, CM Sharma highlighted the government’s achievements and said that PM Modi focused on ‘GYAN- Gareeb (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers) and Narishakti (women empowerment)’.
Bhajanlal Sharma said, “The last 11 years have been the years of change, development and pride for India. Today, we can say with pride that India, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, is becoming an emerging power and is en route to becoming the third-largest economy. In 2014, we were in 11th position in terms of economy, we came at 5th position, and now we’re at 4th.”
Noting achievements under PM Modi’s tenure of 11 years, he said, “PM Modi focused on GYAN- Gareeb, Yuva, Annadata and Narishakti.”
He added that the works done for the poor include PM Gareeb Anna Kalyan, under which 81 crore people received free grains, more than 15 crore houses received water connections, and four crore houses were constructed under the PM Awas Yojana.
Sharma added that PM Modi has built 12 crore toilets for women’s dignity and has vowed to make three crore women Lakhpati Didi.
CM Sharma said, “For the first time in the Central government, 60% ministers are from SC, ST, OBC communities.”
On works done for farmers, he noted that compared to 2013-14, the agriculture budget has increased five times by 2024-25. Meanwhile, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries have received Rs 3.17 lakh crore in total.
The government has opened 4.2 crore Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts for women, and under Matri Vandana Yojana, pregnant women and women breastfeeding their children have received a total of Rs 18000 Cr.
He added that the National Education Policy was implemented after three decades. The number of IIMs has increased from 13 to 21, IITs have risen from 16 to 26, and AIIMS has grown threefold.
He said that the Modi government has a zero tolerance policy towards terrorism.
“Be it post Uri or Pulwama attacks, terror camps have been destroyed. After the Pahalgam attack, with PM Modi’s decision, under Operation Sindoor, the Indian army killed 150 terrorists. This shows PM Modi’s zero tolerance policy,” he said.
As the BJP-led government celebrates its 11th anniversary, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, along with Union Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy Shripad Naik, Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phaldessai, Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Ramesh Tawadkar, and key Cabinet Ministers, attended the ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’ event in Ponda, according to the official statement.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also held a press conference on Tuesday and stated that India is the only economy in the world that has doubled in one decade. (ANI)
