Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], April 23: Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam, Coimbatore District, a unit of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, is celebrating 25 years of academic excellence. To mark this significant milestone, the school hosted the “Amrita Vidyalayam World Records Festival 2025,” accomplishing 27 team world records and 20 individual records. The achievements were certified by Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy, India Records Academy, and Tamilan Book of Records. The records were held between April 3, 2025 and April 8, 2025 and the citation ceremony was held on April 11, 2025.
On April 8, 2025, students from Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam, Coimbatore, demonstrated exceptional memory and scientific skills by setting multiple individual world records in various categories, including the Fastest Time to Recite the Elements of the Periodic Table. In the Male Under-18 category, Anantha Padmanaban K.S.P set a world record with a time of 25.37 seconds, while Dharshan R set a record in the Male Under-14 category with 27.97 seconds. Among the female participants, Dharunikaa T completed the task in 28.15 seconds (Female Under-18), and Sasmita B in 29.92 seconds (Female Under-14). These achievements were certified by Elite World Records. At the continental level, the Asian Records Academy recognized Kaarika Shree K (29.98 seconds, Female Under-14), Dhibisha J (28.72 seconds, Female Under-18), and Nirajan P (25.59 seconds, Male Under-18). Nationally, the India Records Academy honored Nanthitha S R (30.25 seconds, Female Under-14) and Sai Sabaresh R (34.56 seconds, Male Under-14), while Ravi Kiran R achieved the feat in 29.07 seconds, certified by Tamilan Book of Records at the state level.
In another remarkable achievement, Kavi Mukilan R from Amrita Vidyalayam made history with four record-breaking feats. He set a world record, certified by Elite World Records, for the Fastest Recitation of Square Numbers from 1 to 50 by an Individual (Minor-Male), completing it in 1 minute and 59 seconds. Kavi also set a continental record by identifying 150 countries from map outlines in 4 minutes and 21 seconds, certified by the Asian Records Academy. Nationally, he was recognized by the India Records Academy for reciting 65 square numbers in 3 minutes, and at the state level, he identified 152 national flags in 2 minutes, certified by the Tamilan Book of Records.

K. Jayajothy, Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam, expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments, praising the collaboration of educators, parents, and the Science Department in nurturing the students’ talents and congratulating them for bringing glory to the institution.
Sathya K S, Educator, stated that we have set a record for the Most Participants Consecutively Recalling the Elements of the Periodic Table in 12 Hours. A total of 504 students participated in the event, of whom 95 were rejected, resulting in 409 final approved participants. This activity emphasized the importance of learning all 118 elements of the periodic table, which form the foundation of chemistry. Understanding these elements strengthens students’ grasp of chemical reactions, properties, and compositions, she concluded.
Sujitha R and Uma Bhaskar, educators at proudly shared that the school achieved a world record for the Most Participants in an Umbrella Dance, with 567 students performing a synchronized routine for 4 minutes and 32 seconds. This performance, which surpassed the previous record of 322 participants set in Puducherry, India, on August 5, 2010, promoted unity, rhythm, and cultural expression while enhancing teamwork, coordination, and confidence. Additionally, Akila R detailed about another remarkable achievement for the Most Dot-to-Dot Drawings Made by a Team in 1 Hour, where 1,332 participants created 11,322 drawings, surpassing the previous record of 990 drawings by 299 participants in Birmingham, UK, on February 10, 2012. This event fostered creativity, patience, and teamwork while highlighting the students’ visual-motor skills and time-bound productivity, she concluded.
Priya V, Educator, stated that we have set a record for the Most Participants Consecutively Reciting Mathematics Tables in 12 Hours. A total of 802 participants took part, with 777 approved. Participants recited 16 different math tables with 100% accuracy. This activity improved memorization, speed, and calculation skills, strengthening foundational math knowledge, boosting confidence, and enhancing problem-solving abilities for academic and daily success.
The Citation Ceremony, held on April 11, 2025, was presided over by Sampoojya Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Amritapuri. Distinguished guests included Dr. Rabih Baalbaki, CEO of Elite World Records (USA), Mr. Lau Thien Poh, CEO of Elite World Records (Singapore), Dr. Noura Al Merhabi, Global Ambassador and Adjudicator of Elite World Records, Mr. Ameet K. Hingorani, Ambassador and Senior Adjudicator, Elite World Records, Dr. A.K. Senthil Kumar, Ambassador and Senior Adjudicator, Asian Records Academy, Mr. P. Jeganathan, Senior Records Manager, India Records Academy, and Ms. J. Maragatham, Records Manager, Tamilan Book of Records. The event’s success was due to the leadership of Swamini Bhaktipriyamrita Prana, Swamini Muktamritaprana, Mr. S. Muralidharan, Mr. Nandagopal C, Smt. K. Jayajothy, Smt. B. Padmaja, and Smt. M. R. Sudha.
The Amrita Vidyalayam World Records Festival 2025 was evidence to the school’s dedication to academic excellence, creativity, and teamwork. With numerous world, continental, national, and state-level records achieved, the event marks a significant milestone, with many more accomplishments to be achieved by the students in the future.
